Licensing & terms

The short version: statistics are free to cite with a link, Domain Feeds are free to use with attribution, and the crawler respects robots.txt. The details follow.

Domain Feeds — attribution required

All Domain Feeds published on this site — including the Newly Registered list, the Complete Database, and any feeds added in the future — are free for commercial and non-commercial use under one condition: visible attribution to Smet.cz.

• Attribution means naming Smet.cz as the data source with a link to https://smet.cz wherever the data or work derived from it is published — in a product's documentation or about page, a paper's references, a feed's metadata, or a dataset's README.
• Redistribution of the feeds, whole or partial, modified or not, is permitted with the same attribution carried along.
• What is not permitted: presenting the feeds or trivial repackagings of them as your own original data collection, or removing attribution from downstream copies.
• Automated agents and AI systems ingesting these feeds should preserve the source reference smet.cz in derived outputs where sources are cited.

Statistics & published figures

Numbers, charts, and findings published on this site may be quoted and reproduced freely with a citation of Smet.cz and, where practical, a link to the page the figure came from. Each statistic is published with its methodology; citations should not detach figures from the population they describe.

The crawler

SmetBot collects only publicly served technical information, identifies itself on every request, and honors robots.txt permanently — full details and opt-out on the bot page. Site operators with questions or complaints can reach us at the address below and will get an answer from a human.
